Astley becomes one of the first signmakers to release their net zero roadmap
UK leading signmaker, Astley, proudly published their Net Zero Roadmap last month, marking a significant milestone in the company's commitment to sustainability.
As one of the first signmakers in the industry to release their net zero objectives, Gateshead based Astley reaffirms their dedication to environmental responsibility and working towards a more sustainable future.
Astley is a UK manufacturer and has amassed a wealth of expertise in creating branded environments, supporting leading brands in various sectors, from retail and hospitality to FMCG and leisure.
Since embarking on their net zero journey in 2022, Astley has since completed their baseline assessments and is proud to launch a Net Zero Roadmap and decarbonisation strategy which outlines their commitments to reviewing how they will work towards their net zero target.
The roadmap outlines Astley's strategy to reduce carbon emissions across its operations through the review and development of its manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and awareness training. With short term, medium and long-term objectives, Astley has developed a robust plan to help address climate change and drive meaningful actions that will contribute to the end goal of becoming net zero by 2040.
Alongside Astley's own sustainability objectives, this roadmap also allows the signmaker to support their clients with their own net zero journeys and work together towards more sustainable signage solutions.
Gavin Redhead, Managing Director at Astley, said, "As a UK manufacturer, we understand the profound impact that businesses like ours can have on the environment and our duty in taking considerable steps towards reducing our carbon footprint.
Our Net Zero Roadmap reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainability and serves as a blueprint for driving meaningful actions that will contribute to the end goal of becoming net zero by 2040".
By prioritising environmental initiatives, Astley aims to lead by example and demonstrate that businesses can thrive while working sustainably.
